Hanoi Marathon
Celebrating its thousand year heritage, VPBank Hanoi Marathon — Heritage Race, previously named Hanoi International Heritage Marathon, is the first ever official marathon to take place in the capital of Vietnam. The race is dedicated to the peaceful and amicable people of the country and is bound to be a great success due to their AIMS accreditation earlier this year. Following the recent extended partnership with World’s Marathons, to using the company’s premium solution for international online registrations and marketing, the race has signed its 1000th participant for 2019. A significant factor to the success has been the global marketing platform that World’s Marathons offer to all of their partners.

The first edition of Hanoi Marathon — Heritage Race, took place in 2018 attracting 3000 runners counting 300 from foreign countries. This year the city of Hanoi will be expected to host more than 5000 runners and has just registered the 1000th international participant for its second edition. The race course is certified by IAAF and is now a member of AIMS. It is highly regarded for its great technical standards as well as for the display of cultural values. It is the first and only race ever to be approved by the City Committee of Hanoi.

World’s Marathons, which is now managing all international sign ups and bookings, has given Hanoi Marathon — Heritage Race an even bigger visibility towards the worldwide running community and so far attracted participants from 40 countries. A number which is bound to grow over the coming years.

About Hanoi Marathon — Heritage Race
Hanoi Marathon — Heritage Race was first introduced in 2018 and is the first and only race to be approved by the City Committee of Hanoi. The course of the race is certified by IAAF and approved by AIMS since 2019 praised for its high technical standards. Starting and finishing at Hoan Kiem Lake the loop course takes runners through several historical sites around Hanoi including the Old Town.
